UNM Housing Registration and Renewal for Fall 2026 IS NOW OPEN!
Early Bird Registration:
Early Bird Registration for incoming freshmen, transfer students, and current UNM enrolled who did not live with UNM Housing during the 2026/27 academic year will be open from Feb 2 @ 2 p.m. until May 1 @ 11:59 p.m.
Early Birds who are incoming freshmen will get Early Bird selection of their roommate, traditional or pod style hall, room, and/or Living Learning Community ahead of incoming applications submitted after May 1. Registrations are prioritized in the order they are received.
Early Birds who are upperclassmen (sophomores and above), and are new to UNM Housing will be able to select from our apartment styles, pod style, or Lobo Rainforest (off campus).
Housing Renewal:
Current Resident Lobos who wish to renew their Housing License Agreement are encouraged to do so during the Housing Renewal period from Feb 2 @ 2 p.m. until March 15 @ 11:59 p.m.
Renewing Resident Lobos will be able to select from our apartment styles, pod style, or Lobo Rainforest (off campus).
Renewing Resident Lobos will be able to complete Roommate Selection and Room Selection during the following dates:
Renewal Roommate Match: Opens March 23 at 1 p.m.
Renewal Room Selection: Opens April 7 at 1 p.m. | Closes April 23 at 11:59 p.m.
Benefits of renewing during the Housing Renewal window:
- Resident Lobos are able to apply at no cost ($50 application fee waived)
- First choice of roommate/s
- First selection of apartment or suite style halls
- First selection of Living Learning Community (selection of LLC requires an additional application)
- Renewal means automatic entry into our $500 or $1000 Housing Credit drawing*
- 20 randomly selected winners will receive a $500 credit to their Spring 2027 bursar’s account after Drop/Add.*
- Additionally, 10 more randomly selected winners will receive a $1000 credit to their Spring 2027 bursar’s account after Drop/Add.*
*Winners must maintain eligibility to live in UNM housing and fulfill their 2026-2027 Housing License Agreement for the entire agreement period. If a resident breaks their License Agreement, the credit will be forfeited.
