Taking a summer class? Need housing for the entire summer? You can live on campus! Our summer options are perfect for students taking courses over the summer, and even those who don't. If you live with us for Spring 2026 and plan on living with us in Fall 2026 you can live with us without taking any classes this summer. We offer apartment-style living in the SRC Apartments with the same great amenities you are used to during the regular terms.
For those students already living with us and living with us again in the fall, you are eligible to live on campus for the summer as long as you are already enrolled for Fall 2026, even if you’re not taking classes this summer.
HOUSING ELIGIBILITY:
1) To be eligible to live in the residence halls for the summer term, a student must:
- Be enrolled for a minimum of three (3) semester credit hours (not including audit or removal of incomplete grades) for the corresponding housing session, OR
- Be living with RLSH in the spring semester immediately prior to and the fall semester immediately after the summer term to be eligible for the full summer session contract; students do not have to enroll in courses if you meet this condition.
- To be eligible for the intersession components, students must be living with RLSH for either the Spring semester immediately prior OR the Fall semester immediately after the Summer Term; students are only eligible for the intersession term which is between the term of summer enrollment and the term of housing connected to the interim session by date.
2) Eligibility Exceptions: Exceptions to these eligibility requirements may be granted by UNM Residence Life and Student Housing in its sole and absolute discretion.
3) Ineligible: A resident is deemed ineligible for housing by the University as a result of any of the conditions outlined in this Section or Section VIII.3. of this Licensing Agreement. If deemed ineligible, the resident must move out of their assigned space, follow the appropriate check-out procedure when moving out, and complete any applicable License Agreement Cancellation or Release.
