2024/25 Winter Intersession Housing Applicaiton is Open
(APPLICATION OPENS WED, OCT 16th)
During the Winter Break, RLSH traditional and suite style housing close. Residents of these halls who wish to stay on campus during the winter break must apply for Winter Intercession Housing. This includes residents of Alvarado, Coronado, DeVargas, Hokona, Laguna, and Santa Clara.
NOTICE: Alvarado hall is scheduled for complete closure due to construction and will be unavailable as a Winter Housing option. Alvarado residents who need winter housing will be temporarily placed in an available bedspace during winter intersession.
Why do the traditional halls close during the winter break?
Servicing large buildings can be very expensive! Since so many students leave during the break, it is cost-effective and energy efficient to shut down the traditional halls during the break. That said, Resident Lobos who wish to apply for Winter Housing will be allowed to stay in their respective residence halls (except Alvarado) for a flat rate of $475.
The deadline for Winter Housing applications is Friday, December 6.
WINTER HOUSING FAQs
When/Where do I sign up? Registration will open on Wednesday, October 16 at 1:00 P.M. and will be available on the Residence Dashboard.
Do I need winter housing? Residents in the traditional/suite style halls must vacate the halls by Dec 14, 2024 until Jan 17, 2025. If you are a traditional/suite hall resident, and you need to live on campus, you need to sign up for winter housing.
If I live in the apartments, do I need to fill this out? No, and it won’t be available for apartment residents to complete. Only traditional/suite students will have access to complete the winter housing sign up.
Where will I be living? With our current capacity, it is highly unlikely that we will move all residents to the apartment style halls and anticipate having residents in traditional halls for the winter intersession. We will move as few people as possible, but we may consolidate to reduce the workload of our staff over the break. Consolidation / moves will be decided once the winter sign up closes.

How much does it cost? $475. There is no prorating or adjustment. If you are here for any portion of the winter housing period, it’s $475.
