Mid Year Contract Release Fee Waiver
We're so sad to see our graduating seniors and exchange students leave us. So as a goodbye gift, we are waiving the contract release fee for students who will not be attending UNM Spring 2020. Reach out to your Hall Coordinator by Nov 15th to start the Contract Release process. Find more information about our Contract terms here.

2020-2021 New and Transfer Student Housing Registration Open
It seems like it's in another decade but we are already getting ready for the 2020-2021 academic year. The registration for incoming freshmen, new UNM students, and transfer students is open now. You can sign-up here. Applying sooner rather than later puts you higher in the selection queue for choosing your preferred space. Operation Lobo Move-In - Sign Up Now to Volunteer
It won’t be long before many of our Resident Lobos are back on campus for the fall semester. We are in search of some generous volunteers who can help our new and returning residents get comfortable on campus. Operation Lobo Move-in is Aug. 13-17 and is a great way to welcome students to their UNM home – you will be one of the first faces they see. New Student Orientation is on the Horizon
With the 2019 spring semester coming to a close, Residence Life and Student Housing is preparing to welcome almost 3500 incoming students for New Student Orientation. From life skills to academic advisement to class registration, newcomers learn how to make a successful transition into the Lobo Life. You can live on campus! Our summer options are perfect for students taking courses over the summer, and even those who don't. Yes, if you have a fall UNM Housing agreement and aren’t taking summer classes, you are still eligible to live here. UNM Partners with Navajo Nation for Innovative Housing Initiative
The University of New Mexico and Navajo Nation have announced a partnership to provide residence hall space for 118 Navajo students at Lobo Rainforest, UNM’s newest housing option, located in the innovation district of downtown Albuquerque. Learn more here...
Navajo Nation student Housing is currently at capacity for 2018-2019. Students may still apply for it but will be placed in other available UNM housing at the regular rate as well as be placed on a wait list to be offered the opportunity to move to the Navajo Nation living area if space becomes available.

UNM Creates Pet Friendly Residence Halls
UNM Housing is excited to announce two designated pet-friendly residence halls for the 2019-2020 academic year; traditional style Santa Clara Hall and one of the Student Residence Center Apartment buildings. Students with approved ESA or certified service animal may live in any UNM Housing facility, but may also select the option to reside in the pet permitted communities.
